Zombie Pharmacy Alert!
Don’t become the living dead!
This week, I learned that some pharmacy businesses are so close to becoming a zombie-ish business. Wake up! Why are small pharmacy owners so reluctant to the change they need to make to protect their business and the family that depends on that income to survive? Be warned, the owner has put their family in this position and now they are not willing to change to succeed.
Sounds harsh? It’s better than the alternative of losing it all because of ego. Think about it. Owners were worrying about the same things last year, and now twelve months have past and nothing has changed. This year, the target should be to be the innovation in your business and not let your friend’s pharmacy in another State or Province motivate ownership to implement new innovative ideas in the pharmacy. Don’t be a copycat owner to move the ideas and dreams forward.
Just a hint, its goes further than just offering home Rx delivery and medication reviews or government and third party reimbursements.
