A culture of transparency has no strings attached.
Transparency is supposed to build trust and understanding of what the company is facing internally. In today’s world, the word is more or less a marketing buzz phrase that is designed to make you think something is being done about your anxieties.
In its simplest sense, business transparency means clear unrestricted honesty in the way that it does business and builds business together with employees and customers alike. Let’s see now… Does your pharmacy company show you how to make money? What do you get for that exchange? What are the details of your fees you pay? Does the district manager work in harmony with your needs? Be transparent about everything!
Change is the perfect opportunity to exercise transparency. Be upfront about how the pharmacy business is changing or going to change. The fact that you’re affirming the changes openly is just as significant as the change itself. Transparency is one of those subtle things that can make a dramatic impact on a business. Yes, it will impact your bottom line but it will recover just by following the right business coaching. The point is that it helps everyone do business better–you, your pharmacy company, your patients.
A culture of transparency has no strings attached. Ask the right questions.
