Ray helped us build our business from zero prescriptions. If he says jump, we jump.

Ray is very knowledgeable, honest, and straight-forward. Even if he works corporate, we felt that he was working for us personally. He taught us that personal relationships (husband and wife, little kids, parents) takes a back a seat while we “hustle”. However, if the foundation of the family is taken for granted everything else falls apart. If it is called for, Ray even does couple’s retreat in an hour.

Ray sees everything, he would always remind me that numbers don’t lie. If we do not do our part, we will not reach our prescription goals. We started our business without any business background, all we have is our passion to help our patients. It was not enough. We need the business sense that Ray presented to us on our yearly business planning and quarterly visits. I can call him and he will let me know exactly what to say, in a very effective manner. Sometimes, I would hate to pick up the phone because I know exactly what Ray will say. As always, I am surprised. With Ray’s vast experience in the Pharmacy Business, he has interesting ways of getting, converting and retaining our current database of patients. Honestly, I only did half of what Ray expected me to do. We started slow because of that. If I followed everything he wrote in our business plan, we would have reached our goals faster. We paid our bank loan (construction and inventory) in 2 years. I am getting my full salary in 3 years. Today, we have 1 full-time pharmacist, 1 part-time pharmacist, 2 full-time staff, and 1 part time staff. The pharmacy can afford to run on it’s own.

For someone who is about to start working with Ray, what would you tell them to expect or prepare?

Ray can be your worst nightmare. He will wake you up in your sleep. He will change the way you run your house to make your business run the way it should be. He will call you if you do not call him. He will not stop until he knows that you “totally understand your business plan in it’s entirety”, no short cuts. Ray will help you decide, is it time to go for holidays, is it time to hire an assistant, can I afford a bookkeeper, is the pharmacy running smoothly, he got all the answers. If he does not, he will call you back in 5 minutes.

Mel and I really changed, we value our time so much now, even if we hustle everyday. In our busy life, we kept our family close knit.

I think we even ask Ray if we can afford to buy our second house. We also got real estate advise from Ray. It is actually working for us.

We started from 0 prescriptions a day. Ray helped us build our business from zero prescriptions.
